Large window elements can be viewed from more than just inside a building. At District U Vlaardingen, ACS Montage's project photographs show the outside during the work. A large element is suspended beside the façade using lifting equipment, while workers in an aerial work platform attend to the installation position.
This report uses three images of the same construction setting. The focus is on what is visible: the size of the element relative to the façade opening, access to the installation area and the coordination between the suspended element and the people beside the façade.
A large window element on its way into position
The photographs clearly show the storeys and open façade areas. The window element is positioned beside the building using lifting equipment and a vacuum lifting device. The aerial work platform provides access to the point where the element will connect to the façade.
The images show that the installation area is part of a wider construction setting. The opening itself is not the only consideration: space for equipment, access along the façade and work on adjoining floors also matter when preparing a commission.
What these installation photographs do and do not tell us
The photographs document a moment during the work. They do not provide a complete picture of the technical preparation or final handover. Weight, glazing specification, fixing method and exact dimensions cannot be established from a project photograph and are therefore not presented here as project data.
For another commission, the equipment and working method are determined by the element, site conditions and applicable project information. The method shown is therefore not a general guide to lifting or fitting a large window element yourself.
Why access needs to be discussed beforehand
An installation enquiry becomes more specific when the storey, access to the façade and available space are known. It must also be clear which provisions are already in place and who is arranging the equipment. These are matters for preparation, not assumptions based on a photograph.
The images from Vlaardingen give this a concrete setting. They show an installation position at an open façade, with people and equipment in different places. This report does not assume exactly what preparation was carried out.
From project photographs to a focused installation enquiry
ACS Montage installs glass, window frames and façade systems within the agreed scope of a commission. Read more about this service on the page about facade systems installation. Would you like large window elements installed? Gather the location, available drawings, element details, installation height and preferred working period. Also state who is supplying the elements and which tasks other parties will carry out.
Discussing your installation enquiry
Discuss your project with ACS Montage and send the information you already have. This can help establish what coordination is needed and whether the commission fits the available capabilities and schedule.
